Un día recibí de un fotógrafo una foto mía de la que me era imposible, a pesar de mis esfuerzos, recordar dónde había sido tomada; inspeccionaba la corbata, el jersey, con el fin de recordar en que circunstancia los había llevado; era perder el tiempo. Y sin embargo, por el hecho de tratarse de una fotografía, yo no podía negar que había estado allí. Esa distorsión entre la certidumbre y el olvido me produjo una especie de vértigo, y algo así como una angustia policíaca; fui a la inauguración de la exposición como si fuese por una pesquisa, para averiguar por fin lo qu eya no sabía de mí mismo.
